# Explore Markets

> Search, filter, compare, and open markets from Leap's Explore screen.

Use **Explore** when you know you want to trade but have not chosen the market yet.

The page is built to help you move from broad market discovery to one specific market without opening several different screens.

## Market snapshot

At the top of Explore, Leap surfaces a quick view of activity across the platform, including:

* recent traded volume
* number of available markets
* top gainers
* most-traded markets

These figures move with the market, so treat them as a live snapshot rather than fixed statistics.

## Browse by market type

The market list can be filtered using categories such as:

* **Favorites**
* **All markets**
* **Perpetuals**
* **Spot**
* **Hyperliquid**
* **Extended markets**

The exact mix available to you can change as Leap adds or updates markets.

## Read a market row

Each market row gives you the information you need for a first comparison:

| Field                     | What it tells you                                                            |
| ------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Market**                | Asset and market type                                                        |
| **Price**                 | Current quoted price                                                         |
| **24h change**            | Price movement over the last 24 hours                                        |
| **24h volume**            | Recent trading activity                                                      |
| **Open interest / value** | Capital currently represented in open positions or the relevant market value |
| **Max leverage**          | Highest leverage available for that market, where applicable                 |

You may also see the venue or market source beneath the asset name.

## Search and sort

Use **Search markets** when you already know the ticker or asset you want.

Use the sort control when you want to scan the list by activity, such as most traded.

## Save favorites

Select the star next to a market to add it to **Favorites**. This is useful if you repeatedly trade or monitor the same assets.

## Open a market

Select a market row or its arrow to open the trading screen.

Leap will take you to the market in your current trading view. You can then switch between **Simple** and **Pro** from the top of the trading page.

Leap plans to add more markets, including Variational markets soon after launch. Use the live Explore list for current availability.
