# FAQ & Troubleshooting

> Quick answers to the most common account, trading, copy-trading, and rewards questions.

## How can I sign in?

You can use **email**, **Google**, or connect an existing **wallet** from the Leap sign-in screen.

## Do I need a wallet before creating an account?

No.

Leap creates a separate self-custodial wallet when you sign in with email, Google, or an existing wallet. A connected wallet is the access key to the Leap wallet, not the wallet you trade from. You can export your Leap wallet's private key in Settings.

## How do I deposit from my connected wallet?

Open **Deposit**, enter an amount available in your connected wallet, then select **Review deposit** and confirm the details. You can also transfer to the address of your generated Leap wallet.

## Where do I open the trading app?

Use [app.leap.trade](https://app.leap.trade/).

The main product website is [leap.trade](https://leap.trade/).

## Can I buy crypto with a card?

Yes, where supported. Leap can connect users to card on-ramp providers such as **MoonPay** or **Transak**.

Availability and provider requirements can vary by region.

## What is the difference between Simple and Pro?

**Simple** keeps the trade flow focused on the essential controls.

**Pro** adds the full chart, order book, advanced order types, margin controls, funding data, reduce-only, TP/SL, and more detailed account activity.

Both use the same Leap account.

## I submitted an order but do not see a position. What happened?

Check **Open orders** and **Trade history**.

A limit or conditional order may still be waiting rather than filled. A submitted order is not automatically an executed order.

## Why is my fill different from the price I saw?

Market price can move between viewing and execution.

Large orders or thin markets can also produce slippage. Check the order type and slippage settings you used.

## Why did my available margin change?

Available margin can change because of:

* new or closed positions
* unrealized P\&L
* deposits or withdrawals
* funding payments
* changes to other cross-margin exposure

## What does Cross margin mean?

Cross margin shares collateral across your cross-margin positions.

That can improve capital efficiency, but losses in one position can reduce the margin buffer available to other positions.

## Why can the mark price differ from the last traded price?

Mark price is a risk-focused fair-price reference rather than simply the latest transaction.

On Hyperliquid-backed perpetuals, it is used for margining, liquidation, unrealized P\&L, and TP/SL triggers.

## Can I follow a trader without copying them?

Yes.

Use **Follow** to save a trader first. Following does not automatically enable auto-copy.

## What should I check before copying a trader?

Look at more than headline P\&L.

Review ROI, account value, volume, more than one time period, and whether the trader's risk level fits your account.

## Where can I see copied-trade activity?

Open **Copy traders → Activity**.

Use the **Auto-copy** tab to review the automation side of your copy-trading setup.

## What are pending Leap Points?

Pending points are still waiting for qualification or confirmation.

Confirmed points are already counted toward your current season progress.

## Why did my season rank change?

Season rank is live and depends on confirmed points across participating accounts. Your rank can move even when your own points have not changed.

## I closed a position. Why do I still have an open order?

A waiting limit, conditional, TP, or SL order can remain open separately from the position.

Check **Open orders** after closing a trade and cancel anything you no longer want active.

## Where should a beginner start?

Use this order:

1. Create & Access Your Account
2. Fund Your Account
3. Platform Overview
4. Explore Markets
5. Simple Trading
6. Opening a Trade
7. Leverage & Margin
8. Liquidation & Risk

Then move to Pro mode when you want more control.
