Your Leap account uses a separate self-custodial wallet. Fund that wallet before opening a trade.
Deposit from a connected wallet
If you signed in with a wallet and have a supported balance in that main wallet, you can send a deposit from inside Leap:
Open Deposit
Choose Deposit in Leap.
Enter the amount
Enter how much you want to transfer from your connected wallet.
Review the deposit
Select Review deposit. Check the asset, network, amount, and wallet approval.
Approve the transfer
Confirm the transaction in your wallet and wait for the deposit to complete.
Your connected wallet is your access key for Leap. Its funds are not deposited automatically when you sign in.
Transfer to your Leap address
Copy the deposit address of the self-custodial wallet Leap generated for you. Send a supported asset to it from another wallet or exchange, including if you signed in through email or Google. Check the supported asset and network shown in the deposit screen before sending.
Sending an unsupported asset or using the wrong network can result in lost funds. Verify the destination address and network before approving a transfer.
Buy with a card
Where available, you can use a supported provider such as MoonPay or Transak. The provider handles the purchase, its fees, and any required verification. Check the final details in its flow.
Check your balance
Return to Overview after the deposit completes. Your available balance is collateral; a leveraged position’s total value can be larger than the margin allocated to it.
