After you place an order, the trade screen gives you separate views for what is open, what is waiting, and what has already happened. Keeping those states separate makes it much easier to understand your account.

Positions

A position is market exposure you currently hold. Use Positions to check the positions that are still live and how they are performing. Depending on the market and account state, the position view can include information such as:
  • market
  • long or short direction
  • position size
  • entry price
  • current or mark price
  • unrealized P&L
  • leverage
  • margin
  • liquidation-related information
The exact fields shown can vary by interface.

Open orders

An open order has been submitted but has not fully executed yet. Common examples:
  • a limit order waiting for your price
  • a conditional order waiting for its trigger
  • a TP/SL order waiting for its exit condition
If you no longer want the order, cancel it from the open-orders view.

Trade history

Trade history records executed trading activity. Use it when you want to confirm whether an order actually filled, review execution, or understand how a position changed.

Funding

In Pro mode, Funding has its own activity tab. Funding is separate from trade execution. It is a periodic payment associated with perpetual positions and can add to or subtract from the account over time.

A useful habit

After every order, answer these three questions:
  1. Did it fill?
  2. What position do I now have?
  3. Are there any open orders I forgot about?
That quick check prevents a surprising number of trading mistakes.
